Singer Jose Chameleone has once again fueled speculation about his relationship with US-based singer and businesswoman, Juliet Zawedde — this time after an affectionate moment on stage that sent fans into a frenzy.
Warm Embrace, Loud Cheers
The scene unfolded at The Villa in Bukoto, where Zawedde made a surprise appearance during Chameleone’s live performance.
The two shared, a warm hug, multiple kisses on stage and smiles and laughter that lit up the crowd
“The chemistry between them was undeniable,” said one fan in the audience.
Clips of the moment have gone viral on social media, reigniting conversations about their long-rumoured “friendship.”
“Had Lots of Fun Last Night”
Zawedde, currently in Uganda for her birthday celebrations.
Her main birthday party took place on 19th July at Noni Vie in Kampala — an event Chameleone missed due to a gig in Bujumbura.
But their reunion on stage seemed to make up for it.
She made a post on her Instagram and captioned, “Had lots of fun last night with close friends. It was nice to see you all.”

A Rumour That Won’t Go Away
For years, fans have speculated about the true nature of Chameleone and Zawedde’s bond.
Moments like this — public, affectionate, and electric — only add fuel to the fire. Online comments following the event included:
“Just make it official already!”
“They clearly care for each other.”
“What’s really going on here?”
Neither has confirmed a romantic relationship.
Health Scare Still Fresh
Chameleone’s recent public appearances come just months after a serious health scare.
Late last year:
He was hospitalised in Uganda and later flown to the United States for further treatment
Concerns around his health made headlines across the region
His son, Abba Marcus, addressed the situation in a TikTok video, revealing his father had been battling alcohol addiction.
“My father struggles with alcohol addiction and has been for a while now, hence the weight loss that people have been talking about.” Abba said.
Abba also defended his mother, who had come under unfair online criticism:
“My mother has nothing to do with it... Stop blaming her.”
He continued: “Never in my life have I ever seen unconcerned parents that are so careless about their children’s well-being. In this case, I am talking about my father’s parents. So far, I have already lost two uncles because of complete irresponsibility. Honestly, I don’t even want to be called their grandchild because I don’t want any association with them. Nobody would know who the Mayanjas were if it wasn’t for my father.”
