Several government agencies have announced job vacancies for qualified and interested candidates.

These include the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), Kenya School of Government (KSG), and Sports Kenya.

The vacancies were published in the MyGov pullout on Tuesday, July 22.

Kenya Revenue Authority

The Kenya Revenue Authority re-advertised 13 job openings for the positions of Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners, initially listed on June 17, 2025.

The vacancies include a Commissioner, Micro and Small Taxpayers (KRA/PKF004/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Trade Facilitation (KRA/PKF005/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Micro and Small Taxpayers (KRA/PKF006/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Tax Dispute Resolution (KRA/PKF007/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Revenue Monitoring (KRA/PKF008/2025) and Deputy Commissioner, Enforcement and Prosecution (KRA/PKF009/2025).

Other positions include a Deputy Commissioner, Business Transformation and Digital Engineering (KRA/PKF010/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Risk Management (KRA/PKF011/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Supply Chain Management (KRA/PKF012/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Audit and Risk (KRA/PKF013/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Information Security and Data Governance (KRA/PKF014/2025); Deputy Commissioner, Infrastructure Management (KRA/PKF015/2025) and Deputy Commissioner, International Tax.

The Authority clarified that individuals who had already applied for these positions do not need to reapply.

“Applicants who responded to our previous call and met the requirements will still be considered,” KRA stated.

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications via the PKF website by Monday, August 11, 2025, at 23:59hrs EAT.

“Canvassing or providing false documents will lead to automatic disqualification,” KRA warned.

They also warned applicants that no fees are required at any point in the recruitment process.

Requirements are: Valid certificate of good conduct from the DCI, clearance certificate from HELB, valid tax compliance certificate from KRA, current clearance certificate from EACC and report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

Kenya National Bureau of Statistics

At the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, three senior positions have been advertised.

They are Director, Macroeconomics Statistics on a five-year renewable contract; Director, Population and Social Statistics also on a five-year renewable contract and Senior Manager, Nutrition & Environment Statistics, which is on a permanent and pensionable position.

KNBS, a principal government agency under the Statistics Act of 2006, noted that full job details are available on its website www.kbns.or.ke.

Applicants are advised to fill and submit an online employment form referenced KNBS/F/93/29 before the deadline on August 5, 2025.

“Kenya National Bureau of Statistics equal opportunity hiring,” the advert read it part.

Kenya School of Government

The Kenya School of Government opened applications for various vacant posts across its Lower Kabete headquarters and its campuses in Mombasa, Matuga, Embu and Baringo.

Interested candidates are advised to get more information about the positions on their website at www.krg.ac.ke.

Applications must be submitted through the KSG Careers Portal and also in hard copy by midnight on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Sports Kenya

Sports Kenya, established under the Sports Act of 2013, is seeking to hire a Deputy Director, Internal Audit and Risk Assurance (SK 3) under permanent and pensionable terms.

The agency, which is tasked with managing sports infrastructure and promoting both local and international sporting activities, requires candidates to submit an application letter with a detailed CV and professional certificates and contacts of three referees.

Applicants must also indicate their current and expected remuneration.

The reference number HRM/DDIA&RA/01/25 must be quoted and applications must reach the organization by 5:00 pm on August 8, 2025.

“We encourage women and persons with disabilities to apply,” the agency noted, cautioning that canvassing will lead to disqualification.
