Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Omah Lay has shared some straightforward advice and encouragement for aspiring artists hoping to make their mark in the music industry.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, the 28-year-old singer urged newcomers to closely observe his career path if they want to achieve quicker success.
“Dear new generation, study and copy me, you will reach there quick,” he posted, underscoring the clear confidence he holds in his distinct musical style and overall approach to the industry.
Omah Lay has rapidly established himself as one of Nigeria’s standout voices in recent years, largely thanks to his signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies.
He first gained widespread recognition through his breakout EP, Get Layd, which featured popular tracks like "Bad Influence" and "Lo Lo." Since that initial success, he has consistently delivered chart-topping music, including fan favourites such as "Godly."

Currently, Omah Lay is enjoying significant success with his collaboration with fellow Nigerian superstar Davido on the track "With You."
