Popular digital content creator Sharon K Mwangi recently sat down for a candid and light-hearted interview with journalist Kalondu Musyimi, where the pair engaged in playful banter and personal revelations.

When asked about her nickname, Sharon confidently replied, “Share,” adding that it was also her childhood nickname. “My family and friends call me Share,” she said with a smile.

The laughter continued as Kalondu cheekily asked about her last Google search. Without hesitation, Sharon checked her phone and revealed it was a lemon cake recipe.

“I have to check because I have no idea—it’s a lemon cake recipe,” she shared. When asked whether she eventually made the cake, she confirmed that she had.

The conversation then shifted as Kalondu asked Sharon what her most embarrassing search history was. “I would really have to check since I have no idea. Well, I asked ChatGPT for a picture of what it looks like chatting with me. I think that’s a little embarrassing,” she admitted, laughing.

Kalondu kept the momentum going with a rapid-fire round of questions. When asked whether she had a best friend, Sharon was quick to deny it, explaining that all her friends are equally important to her.

“I don’t have a best friend— all my friends are equal. I love all of them equally. Msinigombanishe na marafiki wangu please,” she asserted, meaning, “Please don’t make me fall out with my friends.”

When it came to her favourite Bible verse, Sharon named Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Asked who she speaks to most often, Sharon said it was her mum, adding that her most frequently used emoji is the laughing face.

The interview took an even lighter turn when Kalondu asked about Sharon’s favourite meal. Without missing a beat, she replied, “Ugali, kale, beef, and an avocado. If one isn’t there, I won’t eat it,” she joked.

The conversation then moved to Sharon’s first job. “My first job was at Nation. I was a fashion writer in the Buzz pull-out section,” she shared.

When asked how much she earned at the time, she revealed that she used to earn KSh 16,000 per month. “At the time I was a student, so to me, I was balling,” she said with a laugh.

Sharon also opened up about her academic journey, disclosing that she scored 371 marks in her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams and later attained a C in her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.

“My parents weren’t happy, but I redeemed myself later,” she said.
