Popular content creator and TikToker Baba Talisha, whose real name is Faustine Lukale, has opened up about why he is yet to pay dowry for his second wife, Miss Wanjey.
The father of two, known for his engaging content and candid approach to life, recently responded to fan questions on Instagram, shedding light on the matter that has piqued the curiosity of many of his followers.
A few weeks ago, Baba Talisha revealed that he had welcomed a second child with a woman whose identity he initially kept under wraps.
His fans, however, were determined to unmask the mystery woman, and after their son's celebration, he confirmed that her face had indeed been unveiled.
Many wondered why he had been hiding her from the public eye, but Miss Wanjey explained that remaining anonymous had been her personal choice.
During an Instagram Q&A session, one fan directly asked whether Baba Talisha was officially married. In a heartfelt response, he disclosed that he had not yet paid dowry for Miss Wanjey, nor had he visited her family for formal introductions.

He explained that this decision was deeply tied to a promise he made to his late wife, Milka Faustina, who tragically passed away in a horrific road accident on Thika Superhighway on August 15, 2020—a crash that also left their daughter, Talisha, hospitalised with lasting injuries.
“People may not understand, but my heart knows why I haven’t paid dowry or made that official visit yet,” he shared.
“It’s not out of disrespect to the woman I love now; it’s because of a promise I made to the woman I once loved and lost. My late wife may be gone, but the vow I made to her about her dowry still weighs heavily on my soul. Until I honour that, my spirit won’t rest. Some promises live beyond the grave.”
Beyond this personal revelation, Baba Talisha recently made headlines after exposing a fan who sent him offensive and tribal messages criticising his choice of partner.
The social media influencer shared screenshots of the hurtful messages he received, in which the fan attacked his wife based on her tribal background.
Despite the negativity, Baba Talisha handled the situation with grace and maturity. Rather than responding with anger, he chose to address the issue publicly on his timeline, using the moment to speak out against tribalism.
His calm and educational approach was widely praised by his followers, many of whom applauded him for standing up against discrimination without resorting to insults.
The TikToker has previously spoken about his journey of healing after the loss of his wife. In an interview with Kameme FM, he shared that he had finally found happiness again and was dating a woman from Nyeri.
“I am very okay right now. I have moved on and I’m happy. She is a good lady—not a singer, not a socialite, and not a public figure,” he said.
