TV personality Jeff Koinange is the talk of the town after recently offering fans a rare peek inside his luxurious Kitisuru home, attracting admiration for the home’s elegance.
A video shared on his YouTube account depicted the expansive living room filled with natural light, thanks to massive glass windows.
He has recently captivated public attention, all thanks to the recent delivery of a huge television to his home. A 77-inch television was being mounted during the tour, highlighting the home’s tech-forward setup.
However, the feature that caught the attention of most Kenyans was not the opulence of the house or the luxury vehicles, but the lack of curtains. Jeff sat on the sofa, checking out his new TV, with the huge glass facade in the background.
The large windows almost reached the floor level, and there was no curtain covering them. Instead, there were a few plants outside. Many Kenyans were puzzled by the lack of curtains, something common in most homes.
“You mean it’s not a must for a house to have curtains?” Journalist Rodgers Otiso wondered.His question sparked a raging debate, with some saying it is a preserve of the wealthy.
Some said, “The glass is a curtain itself. From inside, you can see everyone who is outside. But when you're outside trying to see what's inside, that's when you will realize that the glass is a curtain.”
Last week the public took to social media, celebrating the impressive scale and artistic elements of the residence.
Fans have celebrated his remarkable achievements alongside the revelation of his grand residence, often noting that a journalist of his caliber has earned such a lifestyle through hard work and dedication.
The mansion’s history also offers an interesting dimension. In 2020, the property was allegedly subject to a public auction notice by Garam Investments over a loan.
However, Koinange successfully resolved the matter, averting the sale and retaining ownership of his home.
Koinange’s illustrious career adds significant context to his achievements. In Kenyan media, he gained international acclaim as a CNN Africa correspondent, covering major global events.
Following his impactful tenure at CNN, he returned to Kenya, where he has since hosted the influential JK Live on Citizen TV and a popular radio show on Hot 96 FM.
