How to prepare coconut rice/HILLARY BETT


Coconut rice has a mildly sweet and creamy flavour due to the natural sweetness of coconut milk.

To prepare the rice, rinse one cup of rice thoroughly to remove excess starch.

In a pot, combine the rinsed rice with one cup of coconut milk and one cup of water. Add a pinch of salt and stir.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15–20 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.

Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
