Counterfeit instant showers, bulbs, and iron boxes are widely available in informal markets.

These fake products pose serious safety risks, including fires and electric shocks.

The majority of these goods are smuggled into Kenya through porous border points.

Nairobi, Mombasa, and border towns like Namanga and Busia are hotspots for their distribution.
