Gospel minister Joyce Omondi pulled off a touching surprise for her husband, renowned journalist Waihiga Mwaura, at BBC Kenya, leaving his colleagues moved and Waihiga nearly speechless on his special day.
In a video now circulating online, Joyce is seen walking into the BBC newsroom carrying a cake and wearing a beaming smile as she declares, “It’s my man’s birthday. Here’s to amazing colleagues!”
Her entrance sparked applause and cheers from Waihiga’s stunned colleagues, who had gathered to mark the occasion.
“I just got to the BBC. I am here to join Waihiga’s colleagues in celebrating his birthday,” Joyce said, standing proudly beside her visibly touched husband.
