
The Kilifi County Government has announced a massive recruitment drive seeking to fill 49 different positions across key departments in a bid to enhance service delivery.
In a statement released by the County Public Service Board, the government called for applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill a wide range of roles in administration, health, engineering, tourism, agriculture, and the blue economy sectors.
The board is looking to recruit one superintendent of inspectorate, one assistant director of human resource management, four senior sergeants of inspectorate, and eight corporals of inspectorate.
In the communication department, one assistant director of communication and 10 communication officer positions are available.
The tourism department is seeking to fill one position for Assistant Director of Tourism Promotion, four Tourism Officers, four Assistant Tourism Officers, and three Gaming Inspectors.
Health remains a priority with seven vacancies for medical officers, 20 for registered clinical officers, 13 for assistant public health officers, five for nursing officers, and four for medical engineering technologists.
The county is also recruiting four Nutrition and Dietetics Technologists, four Nutrition and Dietetics Technologists I, four Assistant Physiotherapists, four Assistant Occupational Therapists, 20 Pharmaceutical Technologists, four Pharmacists, four Orthopedic Trauma Technologists, five Community Health Assistants, four Clinical Officers, four Medical Social Workers, four Nutrition and Dietetics Officers, and four Orthopedic Technologists.
Other positions include eight Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurses, 30 Emergency Medical Services Technicians, two Municipal Managers, one Assistant Director of Forestry and Climate Change, and one Water Engineer.
The roads and infrastructure sector will benefit from new hires, including one principal superintendent engineer, one chief superintendent engineer, one senior superintendent engineer (mechanical), one inspector of roads, and one transport management officer.
Other positions include five plant operators, one coxswain, one director of fisheries and blue economy, one veterinary officer, five animal health assistants, 10 housekeeper assistants, five Cooks III, 10 waiter assistants, four ICT officers, one monitoring and evaluation officer, five fiscal analysts, and 21 youth polytechnic instructors.

The board emphasized that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and warned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
It also reminded applicants that presenting fake documents is a criminal offense and advised those with foreign qualifications to seek recognition from the Commission for University Education (CUE).
Successful candidates will be required to provide clearance certificates from EACC, KRA, HELB, and CRB before appointment.
