Vera Sidika has addressed recent speculation about her financial status after hosting a club event in Busia. The socialite took to her Instagram stories to clear the air, sharing a series of posts responding to critics.
"This narrative you all are forcing is funny, so let me just set the record straight so that everyone is happy and I can finally be at peace. Yes, I am broke, and it is not a crime to be broke. Hope you all can stop now,” she wrote sarcastically.
Moments later, she followed up with a more direct statement:
“In other news, I can never be broke. Not in a million years. The previous statement is purely for the satisfaction of the haters.”
The buzz began after Vera hosted a vibrant club night in Busia, where she was seen dancing enthusiastically with fans, donning a striking blonde wig. The event, far removed from her typical high-end city appearances, prompted some fans to speculate that she might be experiencing financial difficulties. Others took her presence in a smaller town as a reflection of broader economic struggles, interpreting it as a "recession indicator."

Unfazed, Vera hit back at the criticism, saying she was simply hustling and making time for her fans across Kenya.
“Thank you Busia, love. I had fun—definitely will be back soon. Can’t I hustle in peace? If a club in Bomet books me, I will show up. I have fans everywhere in Kenya, so yes, I’m going to go. It seems like Kenyans have learnt a new word: recession indicator. ‘Kwani’ what's wrong with me making a club appearance in Busia?” she wrote.
Known for her entrepreneurial drive, Vera has made a name for herself in the Kenyan entertainment and influencer space. She’s actively involved in promoting beauty products and lifestyle content through her social media platforms.
Outside the spotlight, Vera has a passion for cooking—pilau being her signature dish, which she often shares in videos to connect with her fans on a more personal level.
She also continues to make waves in the fashion world, regularly posting photos in stylish outfits and offering fashion advice to her followers.
Despite her separation from singer Brown Mauzo, Vera remains focused on motherhood, dedicating her time to raising their two children, Princess and Prince.
