She thanked her son for being there for her when she lost her second-born child.

"Thank you for really being there for me after we lost your little brother. I was so worried about you ( still am ) but you proved to me you're not a little boy anymore and that as much as I want to protect you from everything, I can't. Jah, guidance and protection, my all. I love you now and forever.."

Nazizi lost her lastborn son, Jazeel Adam, in December 2023. At the time, she shared a statement on Instagram.

“It is with profound sorrow and deepest heartache that we confirm the tragic passing of Jazeel, the beloved son of Nazizi Hirji on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2023, in Tanzania.

We lost this young soul in an unfortunate accident at a hotel where the family was staying. He was buried earlier today in Nairobi, in accordance with his religion,” read part of the statement.

“In these dark times, the light of a child's life—in all its innocence and joy—is undeniably the purest. The void left by the loss is both immeasurable, and the pain is unbearable."

In March 2024 , Nazizi described her birthday as the worst."What a bloody painful Birthday without my baby. The comfort is supposed to be in knowing that even though the 2 people I love the most are not with me today, they are together and that Firoz is taking care of @jazeeladam for me ... just imagine that being the comfort ."
