National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K).

The National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K) has invited applications for multiple job openings across various departments.

In a notice issued by the university on June 5, NDU-K seeks to fill at least 22 positions spanning academic, administrative, and technical roles.

The vacancies range from senior lecturers and librarians to finance officers, internal auditors, and ICT professionals.

The university stated that it is seeking to recruit a Deputy Director of Supply Chain Management (Grade 5) and a Supply Chain Management Officer I (Grade 9) under the Supply Chain Management Directorate.

In the Internal Audit Directorate, the university is looking to fill the positions of Assistant Director, Internal Auditor (Grade 6), Senior Internal Auditor (Grade 8), and Internal Auditor I (Grade 9).

The Information and Communication Technology Directorate has a vacancy for a Principal ICT Officer (Grade 7).

The Corporate Communication Directorate is offering one position for a Deputy Director, Corporate Communications (Grade 5).

In the Quality Assurance Directorate, the position of Principal Quality Assurance Officer (Grade 7) is available.

Under the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration), the university is recruiting an Assistant Director, Human Resources (Grade 6), a Principal Finance and Accounts Officer (Grade 7), and two Accounts Assistants I (Grade 9).

The Academic Affairs Directorate, which falls under the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs), has several academic positions, including two Senior Lecturers (Grade 5, Academic).

In Nursing (Medical Surgical Nursing/Critical Care Nursing) and Gender Studies, as well as three Lecturers (Grade 6, Academic) in Nursing, Disaster Management, and Geography (Remote Sensing and GIS).

The university also stated that it is hiring an Assistant Director, Library Services (Grade 6), a Senior Librarian (Grade 8), and a Principal Librarian -Cataloguing & Metadata (Grade 7).

Additionally, the Registration and Admissions Directorate has one vacancy for a Senior Records Management Assistant II (Grade 8).

The university emphasised that the application process is free of charge and warned against any acts of bribery or corruption, which will lead to automatic disqualification and legal action.

Applicants must possess the relevant academic and professional qualifications required for the positions they are applying for.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original copies of their National Identity Card or Passport, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, and any other supporting documents and testimonials during the interview.

Those with academic qualifications obtained from foreign institutions must submit a letter of recognition from the Commission for University Education (CUE).

 Where applicable, recommendation letters from relevant professional bodies must also be included.

Each application must contain a cover letter, a detailed curriculum vitae (CV), a copy of the applicant’s National ID or Passport, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, and certified transcripts.

 Applications are to be submitted in both hard copy and soft copy via the official university email.

The university said all applications should be made on or before June 25, 2025, latest 5pm.
