Senator Nyamu dedicated the award to individuals who continue to pursue positive change despite challenges. Reflecting on her own political journey, she recalled campaigning to become a nominated senator while heavily pregnant:

“Not to prove a point, but because duty demanded it. That journey has taught me that leadership is not defined by ease or comfort, but by commitment.”

She went on to deliver an empowering message on leadership, stressing that anyone, regardless of their role or background, can lead with impact:

“Whether a parent, a student, a farmer or a public servant, we all can lead and serve with power and grace and purpose.”

Nyamu also paid tribute to her father, Mr. Nyamu, whom she credited as her “foundation,” saying his unwavering support has always been a source of strength.

As she closed her speech, Nyamu reaffirmed her commitment to continue pushing boundaries and inspiring the next generation:

“This honour that you have given me tonight strengthens my resolve to keep pushing the limits, to expand opportunity for the coming generations, to remind every young person in Kenya and beyond: do not shrink your dreams to face the moment. Rise, speak, act. The world is waiting for what only you can offer.”

She concluded by thanking Queen Mariam Torres Mastura and the We Care for Humanity organisation, expressing eagerness to collaborate with them in the future.
