Gospel artist Size 8 Reborn was overcome with emotion during auditions for The Next Super Star, a talent competition airing on StarTimes’ Rembo TV and Rembo Plus.
In a touching moment captured on video and now making rounds online, Size 8 broke down in tears as she embraced 13-year-old contestant Sheila Wanjiru, offering to personally mentor and support her throughout the competition.
“You are truly blessed and highly favored,” she told Sheila.
“Good girl, my daughter—sings. I will walk this journey with you. I know you don’t have a trainer, but from today, I’ll be your guide and support. You’re not alone anymore.”
Sheila is among the top contestants on The Next Super Star, a music reality show featuring young, gifted performers competing for prizes worth over Sh 1 million.

The show is hosted by Eddie Butita and Amina Abdi Rabar, with a star-studded panel of judges including Size 8, King Kaka, and Motif the Don.
Sheila expressed confidence that she will emerge as the winner and walk away with the gift. She thanked Startimes Media for the opportunity.
“I’m truly delighted for the opportunity to showcase my talent in The Next Super Star. As the youngest in the group, I’m optimistic and confident that I will stand out. I encourage other youths to step out of their comfort zones and use their talents,” Sheila said.
StarTimes Head of PR and Content Syndication, Myke Mwai said that the next super star features 13 live episodes and 13 mid-week episodes.
Sheila will face stiff competition from other rising stars, including Andy Saharan, Switney, Rouwa, Snaidah Don Dada, Cosign Black, and Jose Jay, a barber from Umoja.
