Kenyan gospel singer Linet Munyali, known as Size 8, and her husband, Samuel Muraya, aka DJ Moh, have shared the emotional rollercoaster of their seven-month separation in 2024.

The couple, who married in 2013, announced their split on social media last year, leaving fans stunned. In a recent heartfelt interview with Betty Kyallo, they revealed the challenges, longing, and eventual reconciliation that brought them back together in 2025.

Size 8 admitted she deeply missed Moh during their time apart, though her pride kept her from confessing it. “It was tough, but I let go of some things because I’m not perfect either,” she said.

“I acted like I didn’t care, but my heart still ached for him.” Beyond her own feelings, she missed Moh’s role as a devoted father.

“Moh is a dad and a half. When a marriage falters, the kids suffer most,” she noted, urging parents to seek counselling for children in such situations.

Their daughter, Wambo, was particularly affected, struggling with her father’s absence. Size 8 recalled a poignant moment when Wambo’s class teacher reported her crying at school because “her father lives in another house.”

This was a wake-up call for Size 8, who realised her decision hadn’t fully considered Wambo’s needs. “I saw I’d been a bit selfish,” she admitted.

Moh, too, felt the void, especially missing his children. He took them on a trip without Size 8, but his heart was set on winning her back.

“I’d visit the kids and tell her I missed her,” he said, chuckling. “I started flirting with her afresh, like we were dating again.”

His persistence paid off as they sat down to address their issues, rebuilding their bond through honest communication. “You’ve got to be sharp as a man,” he quipped.
