Mueni, wife of celebrity designer Bolo Bespoke, has candidly shared how her dreams of marrying a white man were transformed after meeting her husband.
In a heartfelt interview with YouTuber Faith Brandy, Mueni revealed that she once envisioned a luxurious lifestyle she believed only a “mzungu” could provide. However, Bolo’s love and dedication changed her perspective entirely.
“I always wanted to marry a white man until I met Bolo,” Mueni confessed. “There was a class and lifestyle I craved, but Bolo gave me that and more. It made me wonder why I ever wanted a white man. He’s the best man I’ve ever had. Even if I die and I’m reborn, I’d still choose Bolo. I’m praying God reminds me of that!”
Her devotion was unwavering as she vowed to pick Bolo in any lifetime. Mueni and Bolo, who tied the knot in a traditional wedding late last year, have built a marriage grounded in friendship and open communication.
She explained that they discuss everything beforehand, including media appearances, to ensure they’re aligned. “We talk about what to say before any interview,” she said, highlighting their teamwork.

Last month, Mueni addressed speculation about Bolo’s past, firmly stating that his days of infidelity are over.
Reflecting on their dating phase, she acknowledged his “fun” moments, including cheating, but insisted that chapter is closed.
“Tushatoka huko ndugu yangu (we’ve left that phase, my brother). We’ve fought in this Nairobi. If anyone’s waiting for his cheating era, it’s gone. He cheated enough. Now he’s focused on making money,” she declared with confidence. Mueni also made it clear she’s committed to monogamy, describing herself as a “one-man woman.”
Mueni attributed the ease of their marriage to their strong friendship, which sustains them through ups and downs. “Marriage is easy; it’s not hard. I chose my husband to be my best friend. When the romantic love fades, the friendship carries you through,” she said. She admitted there are days when the “lovey-dovey” phase wanes, but their bond remains unshaken.
“There are moments you’re just mad at your partner—not because love is gone, but the spark dips. Friendship keeps you going.”
Their closeness is evident in their daily life. “I wake up with him every day. We work together at Bespoke. When I don’t go to the studio, he notices,” Mueni shared.
“We’re so used to each other now that we honestly can’t live without one another.”
