Little Cab has inked a deal to ferry Football fans for free to the viewing venue for the UEFA Trophy in Nairobi, in Electric buses.

During the cup’s tour in Kenya, the company has been selected to ferry fans to the Sarit Expo Center in Westlands, the venue where fans will have the opportunity to see and pose for photographs with the trophy while it is placed on a plinth

Kenya is one of only five African countries selected to host the trophy during the 2025 tour. The month-long global tour kicked off in Vietnam on April 7, with Heineken, league sponsor, taking one of the most prestigious trophies in the sporting world to ‘hardcore’ football fans in Asia and Africa.

Celebrated German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger is accompanying the trophy on its tour in Kenya.

“We are very privileged to be part of the UEFA Cup Kenya tour, it gives us the opportunity to connect with local football fans, joining them in this rare occasion to get closer to the celebrated trophy,” said Nyawira Maina, Regional Corporate Manager, Little Limited.

“It will also be an opportunity to showcase the steps Little is taking on in protecting the environment through e-mobility, the buses that will be used to ferry fans from pick up locations-Kencom, Junction Mall, TRM and Imaara Mall-are all electric known for their minimal green house gas emissions,” she added.

Little Cab announced release plans  of its electric mobility products: electric bikes and scooters earlier in March 2022 after spending years working on the design and efficiency of the bikes.

The development comes at a time when Kenya has been grappling with a severe fuel shortage  that is causing a surge in fuel prices and negatively affecting the living standards of most Kenyans. Added to this is the air pollution  in the region that is claiming lives and adversely affecting health.
