The meeting, according to Ruto, sought to discuss various programmes and projects being undertaken by the government with the aim of transforming the country.
The President said the engagements will enhance inclusivity even as the government focuses on implementing the bottom-up economic agenda.
“I met Turkana elected leaders at State House, Nairobi. We discussed the programmes and projects we are undertaking and the transformation they will have in the county.”

On April 20, Ruto hosted Bungoma leaders for a breakfast meeting at State House.
The delegation was led by Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula.
They discussed issues touching on development. In a statement, Wetang'ula said Ruto assured them of his commitment to complete stalled projects.
In February, Ruto hosted Garissa leaders and elders.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on a range of issues, including food security, affordable housing, and infrastructural development in the region.
According to the President, they also spoke about sharing resources without discriminating against people from any region.
