A report launched on April 6, 2025, reveals that 4 in 10 women in Kenya cannot afford sanitary towels.

Around 18.77% pay Sh101–150 per packet, while only 1.62% find pads under Sh50 affordable. Additionally, 4.96% spend over Sh150 due to costly brands.

About 46.32% report inadequate shops selling menstrual products. One in three women faces menstrual-related harassment, and 37.2% acknowledge awareness of such harassment.

Furthermore, 61.1% rate their knowledge of menstruation as moderate, while 25.26% feel they are not very knowledgeable.
