"I have not been as active because I started a company, and I have to take care of it," she revealed in an interview with Trudy Kitui. "Artistry has always been in me—I haven’t left music. I also act."

The Challenges of Motherhood

Avril has always been open about her experiences with motherhood, often describing it as the most demanding yet rewarding journey of her life.

"When my son was a day old, that’s when it hit me that I no longer had a say—it would always be about him," she once shared in a May 2022 interview with Ala C.

"In the beginning, I was a walking zombie because I wasn’t getting enough sleep. Even now, I survive on very little sleep while also chasing my dreams."

Her first pregnancy was a deeply personal journey, which she initially kept under wraps. Despite speculations and rumours, Avril chose to reveal the news on her own terms, stating, "It was going to be in my time, on my terms—never anyone else’s."

In a past May 2021 interview, Avril spoke candidly about her struggles with fibroids, a condition that complicated her ability to conceive.

"I had two fibroids when I was pregnant, and the doctors speculated that this could have been the reason it took me longer to conceive," she revealed.

Plans for a Growing Family

In a recent conversation with Citizen Digital, Avril hinted at her desire to expand her family, acknowledging the rising costs of raising children.

"They say right now only rich people are having kids because the cost of raising a child is crazy," she remarked. "But I would love to have two or three so that my firstborn has siblings."

For years, rumours have swirled that music producer J Blessing is the father, but Avril has neither confirmed nor denied the speculation.

"If at any one point in time I feel like talking about the father of my child, I will, but at this particular time, I don’t think it’s necessary," she previously stated in an interview.
