For the second time now, Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel has signaled his intention to visit Kenya at the same time planning a performance.
Kartel's attention was caught after he was tagged by a Kenyan fan who asked 'Bro, when are you visiting Kenya?' He responded '2025'
If confirmed, this would be Kartel's first performance in Kenya since his release from prison last year.
The demand to see him in a live concert in the 254 has been growing since, and two weeks ago, Kenyans made a poster of his performance in Kenya. The venue was Kasarani stadium, as those to curtain raise for him were also listed including Wyre, Redsan, Mejja, Femi One, Maandy among others.
But in the meantime, here is his confirmedand real schedule. On March 29, he’s set to headline "Feel the Vybz" in Nassau, Bahamas.
In April, Kartel will bring his signature energy to the Caribbean Music Festival in Barbados.
In June, he’s set to dominate the stage at the prestigious St. Kitts Music Festival, performing alongside Shenseea. Fans can also look forward to Kartel’s anticipated headline appearance at the Wireless Festival in the UK.

Kartel's Life in Prison
The 'Summertime' hitmaker had been behind bars after being convicted of the murder of Clive "Lizard" Williams in 2014 where he was handed a life sentence.
Last year, the conviction was squashed by a London court. Jamaica’s Court of Appeal decided against a retrial for the murder of Vybz Kartel, citing his deteriorating health and the psychological and financial impact on him.
Kartel, 48, was released from prison after serving 13 years.
In 2023, Human rights attorney, Isat Buchanan revealed that the singer was battling a life-threatening disease.
"Mr. Palmer's illness is actually life-threatening. To make matters worse, his attorney notes that for the last week, Kartel has been in solitary lockdown 23 hours a day over an alleged cell phone infraction. He's in a cell, and if you can picture a brick oven, because that's how those cells are built, the ventilation is next to none," he told Fox 5

Kartel's Life After Prison
After leaving Prison and re-uniting with his family, Kartel has been focusing on restoring his health with the singer sharing videos at the gym.
In December last year, Kartel performed for the very first time since imprisonment, for his Jamaican fans in an all sold out event dubbed 'Freedom Street.'
After the show, the singer was overwhelmed with joy for the overwhelming support.
"FREEDOM STREET 2024 WAS A SUCCESS!!! GIVE THANKS TO #GAZANATION AND EACH AND EVERY ARTISTE THAT PERFORMED!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE," he wrote on his Instagram page
