President William Ruto officially opened the Renewable Energy Efficiency Laboratory at PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute in Nairobi on Wednesday.

The Head of State said the laboratory is an important facility that will empower the youths through providing knowledge.

"The scaling up of competency-based learning in our country is geared towards improving the technical knowledge of our youth, hence boosting their employability," President Ruto said.

The President was accompanied by his Deputy President, Kithure Kindiki, among other leaders and government officials.

Ruto's developmental tour of Nairobi began on Monday in Kamkunji before heading to Mathare and Kamkunji constituencies on Tuesday. 

Today the President visits Dagoretti South and Dagoretti North constituencies before concluding his day in Westlands and Kangemi areas.
