At the kickoff event on March 8, sponsors like Tusker and Safaricom encouraged participants, stressing their commitment to nurturing young talent.
Safaricom’s Zizwe Awuor highlighted the need for more African representation at Cannes, pledging long-term support for the creative industry.
Participants will develop creative campaigns, with winners announced on March 9. The finalists will then head to France for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025.
Cannes representative Emuron Alemu urged creatives to believe in their abilities, reminding them that brands like EABL and Safaricom see their potential.
