The drama, which has unfolded over the past few weeks, has exposed the cracks in Karangu’s polygamous marriage, leaving many shocked and divided over the situation.
It all started when Karangu publicly declared himself a polygamist to address rumours about his “second wife.” However, this announcement opened a Pandora’s box, leading to a series of explosive revelations from Triza, his wife of 13 years.
In a viral TikTok live session, Triza tearfully accused Karangu of abandoning her and their two children after marrying his second wife, Carol Kim.
She claimed that Karangu had moved in with Carol, leaving her and their children in their village home in Gatundu South.

Triza didn’t hold back, accusing Carol of disrespecting her and even alleging that Carol had insulted her, saying she didn’t shower or dress well.
She also expressed frustration over the lifestyle Karangu provided for Carol, claiming he had bought her a better car, phone, and even built her a house in one of Nairobi’s affluent suburbs.
Triza, who had been silent for years, said she could no longer pretend to live a “perfect life” and vowed to leave the marriage.
“I’m not ready to stay in a polygamous marriage. I will leave him to her, and I won’t bother them. I just ask that boundaries be set where my children are concerned,” Triza stated during her TikTok live.
In response to Triza’s allegations, Carol Kim was invited to TikTok Court to clarify her side of the story. She strongly denied ever insulting Triza, explaining that they had never interacted directly.
Carol also revealed that she had been subjected to cyberbullying following Triza’s claims, with social media users flooding her page with insults. She maintained that she was being unfairly vilified over baseless accusations.

The drama escalated further when Triza accused Karangu of denying her conjugal rights and refusing to repair or replace her broken phone, despite being a brand ambassador for mobile phones.
She also claimed that Karangu would only visit their home for short periods to take photos with their children for social media, but never stayed long.
“He used to come here, take photos with our children for social media, but would never spend more than two hours with them. I’ve been trying to cover for him, but I can't do it anymore,” Triza alleged.
Karangu, on the other hand, has remained relatively quiet amid the public outcry. He has refused to entertain the idea of divorce, instead suggesting a meeting with both families to resolve the issue.
However, Triza dismissed this idea, saying Karangu didn’t involve anyone when he married his second wife.
“Why would we sit down with parents when you didn’t involve anyone when you married a second wife? I’m no longer interested in this marriage. I have my life to live. I’m only 34 years old,” Triza shot back.
The online revelations have spoiled the image of the perfect marriage that Karangu had portrayed to his followers.

Known for his philanthropic efforts and gospel music, Karangu’s reputation has taken a hit as netizens rallied behind Triza, raising over Sh1 million to support her.
In a show of solidarity, supporters encouraged Triza to start her own business and focus on her future. “She has the opportunity to create her own brand and think beyond competition. She must guard her heart and avoid people who manipulate her. This is her time to rise, not be held back,” one supporter wrote.
Karangu, seemingly unshaken by the backlash, made a cryptic statement on social media: “May God give you more energy to insult me, but one day, I will speak, and the truth will come out. I’ll embarrass you all when you realise you were insulting me for nothing.”
