Kenyan social media has been set ablaze following Gloria Kyallo’s revelation that she and her ex-boyfriend, Ken Warui, are co-parenting their dog.
Gloria, the younger sister of media personality Betty Kyallo, shared this information during a Q&A session with her followers, sparking an intense debate online.
Gloria’s Statement on Co-Parenting the Dog
When asked why she and Ken broke up, Gloria responded vaguely, saying:
"Neither here nor there, but I feel loved and very content."
However, what truly caught people's attention was her disclosure that despite their breakup, she and Ken still co-parent their dog.
"I answered this question before, it's on my highlight even. Anyway, we do co-parent the dog, but since the dog belongs to him, I see links from time to time," she explained.
While some saw this as a sign of maturity and mutual respect, others found the idea strange and unnecessary.
Kenyans React: From Confusion to Hilarious Takes
Kenyans on X (formerly Twitter) were quick to weigh in, with many mocking the concept of "co-parenting a pet." The reactions ranged from amusement to outright disbelief:
? @kariukiisaacM joked: "They meant 'co-doggying.'"
? @RaswilliEms69 dismissed it as an excuse for rekindling their relationship: "Hii ata si wokeness ni horniness, just finding a reason to come together n fck!"*
? @ugalimafioso took a harsher stance, suggesting mental health concerns.
? @VictorOtie49139 found humour in the situation, writing: "Maybe they're each other's dog ?."
? @Jovianiso questioned their breakup altogether: "If you still want each other, si mnasema tu?"
Others speculated that the situation might be orchestrated for content, considering the Kyallo family’s reality show. @foscraft commented:
"I have watched the Kyallo’s family show before, and I didn't like how mans was being handled. Lol. Maybe it's a job, for their shows and content."
Meanwhile, @insagli claimed to know whose idea it was, implying that one of them might still be holding onto the relationship.

Is Co-Parenting a Pet Just an Excuse?
While some netizens appreciated Gloria and Ken's effort to remain amicable after their breakup, many remained skeptical.
The general consensus was that co-parenting a pet might just be an excuse to stay in each other’s lives.
? @fallubeybe recalled hearing the discussion on Homeboyz Radio and found it hilarious: "Nliskiza hii conversation morning @HomeboyzRadio nkacheka mbaya sana."
? @FUJOTUPU mocked Ken for realizing too late.
Gloria’s Love for Dogs
Gloria has always been vocal about her deep love for pets. In May 2023, she revealed that she had hired a nanny specifically to take care of her three dogs: Nala, Shaggi, and Lulu.
"I do so much to take care of my puppies… like at the moment they are at home with the nanny. Yes, I got them a nanny because they are my babies and they need someone to take care of them," she explained.
She also dismissed critics who mocked her for calling her pets "babies."
"People should just leave me alone if I call my dogs my babies. I will call them what I want. They have not started school, but they are living well," she said confidently.

How Much Does Gloria Spend on Her Dogs?
For Gloria, no amount is too much when it comes to spoiling her furry companions. She revealed that she spends at least Ksh500 per day on her dogs.
"At least Ksh500 a day is okay for me to spoil them. I am working for them and my future family," she said.
