Tanzanian R&B star Juma Jux has officially tied the knot with his Nigerian fiancée, Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, in a beautiful Islamic wedding ceremony (nikah) held in Dar es Salaam on Friday, February 7.
The glamorous event brought together family, friends, and top celebrities from Tanzania’s music industry, making it one of the most talked-about weddings of the year.
Jux, known for his smooth vocals and hit songs like Enjoy, has had an eventful love life. Before finding love with Priscilla, he was in a long-term relationship with Vanessa Mdee, a fellow Tanzanian singer.
Their romance ended in 2019, and shortly after, Vanessa moved to the United States, where she later got engaged to Nigerian-American singer Rotimi. The couple now shares two children.
After parting ways with Vanessa, Jux eventually found love again with Priscilla, a popular Nigerian social media influencer and entrepreneur.
Their relationship has been under public scrutiny, but their wedding has now sealed their commitment to each other.

The Glamorous Nikah Ceremony
For the grand occasion, Priscilla looked stunning in a gold-beaded gown paired with a matching turban, exuding grace and elegance.
Jux complemented her look with a traditional white kanzu, a brown thobe, and a stylish keffiyeh on his head. In a bold fashion statement, he carried a ceremonial sword, a symbol of strength and tradition.
The event was attended by some of Tanzania’s biggest stars, including Diamond Platnumz, his on-and-off girlfriend Zuchu, as well as Ommy Dimpoz and Marioo.
Diamond looked regal in a white kanzu with a gold-accented scarf, while Zuchu dazzled in a maroon dress with a flowing veil and high heels.
The reception was filled with music, dance, and celebration. Videos from the wedding showed Diamond Platnumz leading the dance floor, joyfully singing along to Taarab music and moving with unmatched energy.
His enthusiastic performance even had some netizens joking that he was dancing more than the groom himself!
Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu’s Complicated Romance
The wedding also brought renewed attention to Diamond and Zuchu’s relationship, which has been a rollercoaster of emotions over the years.
Despite dating for nearly four years, the couple has been on and off multiple times, sparking breakup rumours and speculation.
Just last month, on January 19, Diamond publicly stated during a political rally in Dodoma that he plans to marry Zuchu before Ramadan begins in February.
While the announcement excited fans, many remain skeptical, given their history of public fallouts and reconciliations.
Juma Jux and Diamond Platnumz: A Bond Beyond Music
Beyond being industry peers, Juma Jux and Diamond Platnumz share a deep friendship that goes way back.
Despite their different musical styles—Jux specializing in R&B and Diamond ruling Bongo Flava—the two have always shown mutual respect and support for each other.
Their bromance was evident during the wedding, with Diamond actively celebrating Jux’s big day, dancing passionately, and embracing the moment.
With Juma Jux now officially off the market and Diamond Platnumz teasing his own wedding plans, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of love and new beginnings in Tanzania’s music scene.
Fans will be eagerly watching to see if Diamond finally makes good on his promise to Zuchu—or if history repeats itself.
