Two drivers of two public service vehicles (PSVs), which were impounded on Thursday were Friday arraigned at Kibera Law Courts in Nairobi.
John Mwangi and Dominic Amaya were charged with driving unroadworthy vehicles.
According to the charge sheet, this is contrary to Section 55 (1) as read with Section 58 (1) of the Traffic Act.
The two pleaded guilty to the charge.
The court fined them Sh50,000 each or a six-month jail term.
According to the charge sheet, the matatus were fitted with TV screens thus obscuring the driver's view, tinted windscreen and headlamps, fitted with unprescribed front light (led bar).
The charge sheet also stated that they had undersized chevrons and hence were found un-roadworthy as per the inspection report.
