Famous Tanzanian actress Jacqueline Wolper has announced split from her husband Rich Mitindo, saying that she is in the process of getting a divorce from him.
The couple got engaged in 2021 and later walked down the aisle in 2022 in a televised wedding ceremony that was attended by celebrities, politicians, close friends and immediate family members.
The mother of two has announced the decision to part way with her husband on her Instagram.
Wolper Stylish addressed her fans and friends, expressing her gratitude for their thoughtful messages, prayers, and encouragement.
She acknowledged all the support she has received with great appreciation, saying, "Mungu awabariki wote mnao nitakia mema, na hata wale wenye nia tofauti na njema pia mbarikiwe" (God bless all of you who wish me well, and even those with different intentions).
She then took the opportunity to address any concerns about her emotional state, clarifying, "Naomba niwatoe wasiwasi na mashaka juu ya furaha na amani ya moyo wangu" (I want to put to rest any worries and doubts about the peace and joy of my heart).
Wolper revealed that she and her partner, Rich (Baba P), have separated, and she is currently in the process of divorce.
She requested that people stop offering advice or sympathy about the ongoing situation, as Rich is "a person who is free to do whatever pleases him."
Wolper stressed that, while their marriage is over, they will continue to respect one another as parents, saying,
"Tutabaki kuheshimiana kama wazazi na kulea watoto wetu" (We will continue to respect each other as parents and raise our children). However, she made it clear that their relationship as a couple no longer exists, stating, "Swala la mahusiano ya ndoa hilo halipo" (The issue of marriage is no longer there).
She expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the messages of support and encouragement from her fans and reassured them that she is doing fine.
"Nawapenda sana nashukuru kwa msg zenu nyingi za kunitia moyo"(I love you all very much and thank you for your many encouraging messages), she said.
Wolper also requested that she no longer be involved in matters related to her estranged husband, as they "do not concern me," reinforcing her desire to focus on her personal well-being and peace.
