Content creator Millicent Ayuwa, popularly known as Dem wa Facebook, has opened up about the total cost of building a home for her parents.

The comedian handed over the house in a colourful and emotional ceremony on Sunday, December 15, at her village home in Kitale.

Inspiring Young Girls in the Community

Dem wa Facebook shared that her decision to build the house in her parents' village was motivated by a desire to inspire young girls in her community to make better life choices.

"I built this house with people's support. I didn’t want to buy my parents a house in Nairobi. I wanted to encourage young girls in my village to stop getting early pregnancies and rushing into marriage. For me, marriage is an option because, with money, I can buy a pregnancy," she stated.

In an interview with Milele FM’s Ankali Ray, Dem wa Facebook revealed that constructing the house cost her KSh 3 million, with an additional KSh 1 million spent on furniture and interior decor.

"Building the entire house cost KSh 3 million, and furnishing it cost about KSh 1 million. I'm an iron lady," she declared, proudly reflecting on her accomplishment.
