President William Ruto will on Friday preside over the inscription of Gedi National Monument as Kenya’s 8th UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The event will be held at the National Museum of Kenya in Nairobi.
Gedi National Monument was officially recognized by UNESCO on July 27, 2024.
DP Kindiki to chair IBEC meeting
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is set to chair the Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council (IBEC) meeting.
The meeting will be held at his official Karen Residence.
IBEC is a forum established under s. 187 of PFM Act and pursuant to Article. 6(2) of Constitution of Kenya for consultation and cooperation between the national government and county governments.
It coordinates governments’ policies, legislation and functions on pertinent matters including Financial management and budgeting, Borrowing and debt management, Economic management and integrated development, Fiscal legislation and regulations, and other matters that the Deputy President as chairman in consultation with members agree.
Kalonzo to attend end of year national prayers
Wiper Party Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka will attend the "End of Year National Prayer Banquet" at Happylands, Gardens Center off Kangundo Road, Nairobi County.
The National Prayer event is scheduled to take place from 1pm.
He will be joined by leaders allied to the Opposition outfit Azimio including MPs.
IMO to hold a 2km walk to mark International Migrants Day
International Organization for Migration (IOM) Kenya will hold 2km Walk to mark the International Migrants Day from 7.30 am.
The walk dubbed "Step-up 4 safe migration" will begin at KICC and end at Uhuru Park where participants will take part in health screening, blood drives and performances by migrants.
