
Award-winning investigative journalist John-Allan Namu has announced the passing of his mother, Gertrude Muthoni Namu, at the age of 70.
Taking to his social media platform, Namu shared the heartbreaking news with his Kikuyu caption reading, "Koma wega mami wakwa ?" which loosely translates to, "Rest well my mother."

The journalist’s post was met with an outpouring of condolences and comforting messages from Kenyans and colleagues alike, reflecting the high regard in which he and his family are held.
