
Police are investigating two separate murder incidents in Mombasa County, where two men were assaulted leading to death.
In one of the incidents, police on Thursday were notified that a man had been assaulted at around 8:30 am while at the Sosiani area in Maweni, Nyali.
Well-wishers rushed 40- 40-year-old Zeblon Nyabwaya to Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.
His body was taken to the hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Police said they identified the suspect as Mobutu and are working to arrest him.
Still, in Nyali, police said they got a report that an unknown African male was stabbed to death by his friend in the Kisimani area opposite Oseber bar.
Police officers rushed to the scene and found the body of Salim Kahindi aged about 40 years old.
According to the public, the deceased had fought at the said bar where he succumbed having sustained multiple body injuries.
The scene was processed and the body was moved to Coast General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Elsewhere in Machakos County, police are investigating the death of an unknown middle-aged man who was found lying unconscious opposite a mosque.
There were no visible injuries, police added that the onlookers claimed the deceased was a street urchin.
The body was moved to Machakos Level 5 Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Police in the Mosoriot area of Nandi County are probing the death of Tecla Jerotich, 36, who was found lying on the side of the road.
It is said that Jerotich was suffering from high blood pressure.
The deceased was moved to the White Crescent morgue awaiting autopsy.
In Makueni County, officers based in Matiliki are probing a mob justice incident that resulted in the death of Joseph Muya.
Police said the deceased was suspected of stealing church musical instruments from the Christian Church International.
Officers said a mob pursued him and burnt the suspect beyond recognition.
The body was moved to the Kilome Nursing Home Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy and preservation.
