From Diamond, Ayra Starr to Tyla: Full list of MTV EMA nominees

Diamond Platnumz has been named as a nominee for this year's Europe Music Awards (EMA). He is battling it our in the category of 'Best African Act' against Asake, Tyla, DBN Gogo, na TitoM and Yuppe.

Last year, the Tanzanian star beat Nigeria's Burna Boy, Asake, Tyler ICU and Libianca to win the award in the same category. He also holds and award for Best Worldwide Act.

He joins other African stars that have been nominated.

Taylor Swift leads with seven nominations, followed by Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter each with five nominations. Then comes Ayra Starr, Beyoncé, Lamar, LISA, Chappell Roan and Tyla with four nominations each.

The award ceremony will happen on 10th November 2024.
