The Ministry of Health is intensifying surveillance for disease outbreaks ahead of expected El Niño rains, which could affect 46 counties. Public Health PS Mary Muthoni says Ebola and other diseases remain a concern as rainfall is forecast in parts of the country over the next seven days. The ministry is urging heightened monitoring and coordinated preparedness to protect public health as changing weather conditions increase potential health risks.
