The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has dismissed a media report linking its officers to the alleged interception of a vehicle at the Uganda border and seizure of election-related materials.The DCI said the claims, including the alleged arrest of three people and transfer of an officer investigating electoral malpractice, were false and unfounded. The Directorate also questioned the timing of the report as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election, saying it was not given an opportunity to respond before the allegations were published.
