eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 by Anker

Smart home appliances brand Anker is stepping up its push into Kenya with the launch of its latest deep-cleaning robot vacuum, targeting households increasingly conscious of hygiene, dust and indoor air quality.

The company, which entered the Kenyan market in August, has opened pre-sales for the eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35, positioning the machine not simply as a household convenience but as a tool for maintaining cleaner indoor environments.

The timing comes as respiratory illnesses remain a significant health burden in Kenya.

According to the Ministry of Health, respiratory infections and tuberculosis remain among the country's major causes of death. of Health, respiratory infections and tuberculosis remain among the country's major causes of death.

A recent government report by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, respiratory infections and tuberculosis account for 208 deaths per 100,000 people in Kenya.

Official statistics also show the continuing burden of pneumonia.

The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) recorded 14,028 registered pneumonia deaths in 2024, while pneumonia remained among the three leading causes of death recorded in health facilities.

This health backdrop gives greater relevance to appliances designed to remove dust, allergens and other contaminants from living spaces, helping households cut rising health budgets in a tough economic environment.

At the centre of Anker's offering is the E35's 35,000 Pa suction power, designed to pull dust, dirt and dust mites from carpets and other surfaces.

Its HydroJet 2.0 roller mop applies 16N of downward pressure and uses hot-water cleaning and warm-air drying to keep the mop clean between cycles.

The company says the system has been certified by TÜV SÜD for 99.99 per cent bacteria elimination and has earned the Maternal and Infant Cleaning Robot mark.

In practical terms, the machine is designed to tackle the kind of dirt that conventional sweeping can leave behind.

The machine's Heavy Stain Deep Mop mode goes further by wetting a dirty area, allowing it to soak for 10 to 20 minutes and then scrubbing it.

Its AeroTurbo 2.0 multi-cyclone filtration system is designed to separate fine dust before it reaches the filter media, helping maintain suction performance for up to 365 days, according to TÜV SÜD verification.

The E35 has also received the Asthma & Allergy Friendly certification in the US from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and Allergy Standards Limited.

Testing found reductions of up to 98 per cent in dust-mite and cat allergens on carpets and 99.9 per cent on hard floors.

For busy households, particularly those with children and pets, automation could be as important as cleaning power.

AI.See 3.0 uses a camera, smart lighting and laser sensors to recognise more than 280 objects, allowing the robot to navigate around furniture and other obstacles even in darkness.

Anker is also preparing to introduce the more affordable Omni C30 and C30 Edge.

Both offer 35,000 Pa suction, dual rotating mops and automated maintenance, with the C30 Edge adding an extending mop capable of reaching recessed corners.

The E35 carries a recommended price of Sh142,000, although early pre-sale customers can buy it for Sh116,300 through eufy's website.
