Toxic Lyrikali, whose real name is Fidel Omondi, has built his reputation around a blend of trap, dancehall and street-focused storytelling.
His breakthrough songs include ‘Chinje’ and ‘Backbencher’, tracks that helped move him from Nairobi's Eastlands music scene into the national conversation.‘Chinje’ has passed 11 million YouTube views, while ‘Backbencher’ has been closing in on eight million, according to a 2025 profile by OkayAfrica. The publication also reported that Toxic released 10 songs in 11 months during his rapid rise.

A growing live presence
Toxic is no stranger to large stages.
In 2025, he performed at Blankets & Wine in Nairobi alongside established Kenyan and international artistes. OkayAfrica reported that thousands of fans were present and that the crowd sang along to his songs.
He has also expanded his international profile. In March 2026, KBC reported that Toxic was scheduled for his first European performance at Maisha London Fest on 20 June. He was also expected to perform in Dubai earlier in the year.
His official website now lists a Kenya tour among his 2026 plans, suggesting that live performances are becoming an increasingly important part of his career.
Why fans want a solo show
A solo concert would give Toxic an opportunity to present his catalogue without sharing the stage with a large line-up.It would also test whether his streaming numbers can translate into ticket sales and sustained live demand.
That question is important for an artiste whose career has grown quickly. Toxic's music has attracted attention from platforms such as Apple Music, while his international bookings indicate that his audience is expanding beyond Kenya.
