From Comedy to Engineering
Tricky became widely known through comedy, including his appearances on Churchill Show, before building a career in radio.
Away from entertainment, however, he pursued engineering studies.
He graduated from Kenyatta University in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. He later pursued further studies in Mechatronics Engineering at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
His academic journey has run alongside his entertainment career, making his latest registration a notable development.
The comedian also recently announced his departure from Mediamax Network as he sought to give greater attention to engineering and other professional interests.
What EBK Registration Means
The Engineers Board of Kenya is the statutory body responsible for regulating the engineering profession in the country.
Under the Engineers Act, the board registers engineers and engineering consulting firms, regulates professional engineering services, sets engineering standards and oversees compliance within the profession.
Tricky's certificate therefore represents more than an academic qualification. It marks his entry into the regulated engineering profession.
The EBK provides services for engineering registration through its official platforms, including applications for professionals seeking registration.
Tricky Celebrates the Milestone
In his announcement, Tricky thanked several EBK officials, including CPA Tony Kibet, Communications Manager Ruth Kwamboka and Senior Officer Mr Mumo.
He also used the opportunity to engage other young engineers.

The response from his followers reflected interest in the unusual combination of his entertainment and engineering careers.
