The tour will include stops at several locations in Murang’a, beginning with the opening of the party’s office in Murang’a Town at 11:30 a.m.
The programme will then move to Murang’a Town at 1 p.m., Kang’ari Market at 2:30 p.m. and Kandara Market at 4 p.m.
The tour is expected to provide an opportunity for the party to engage with residents as it continues its grassroots activities in the county.
TIFA poll on proposed ride-hailing minimum fare
TIFA Research will release findings of a public opinion survey examining consumer perceptions of the proposed minimum fare policy for app-based ride-hailing services.
The survey was conducted in Nairobi between July 17 and 21, 2026, focusing on consumer views in Kenya’s largest ride-hailing market.
The research will provide insights into the cost-of-living pressures facing consumers and their most pressing concerns, as well as how passengers may respond to a potential increase in ride-hailing fares.
It will also examine public awareness of the proposed minimum fare policy, consumer preferences on how ride-hailing fares should be determined and the level of public support or opposition to the proposal.
Church and Clergy Association press conference
The Church and Clergy Association of Kenya will hold a press conference on Thursday to address concerns over campaign violence and hate speech ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The association is expected to outline its position on the rising political rhetoric and incidents of violence linked to political campaigns, as religious leaders call for peaceful and issue-based political engagement.
The press conference will be held at Biblica Guest House at 10:30 am.
Judgment on petition seeking the split of Bobasi Constituency
A case seeking to compel the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to split Bobasi Constituency in Kisii County into two is set for judgment.
The petition challenges the current boundaries of Bobasi and seeks the creation of an additional constituency.
The court is expected to determine whether the IEBC should undertake the proposed division of the constituency.
Education Committee to vet TSC nominees
The Education Committee will vet Wilson Sossion and Antonina Lentoijoni for appointment as members of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
The vetting will take place at County Hall from 9 am.
