On the radarPresident William Ruto will preside over the National Health Summit scheduled for August 18 and 19, 2026, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
The summit will be held under the theme “Reform Delivered, Health as a Right” and will take stock of the Government’s health reforms under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Key areas expected to feature include digital health transformation, improved efficiency at KEMSA, expansion of specialised services, and the onboarding of more than 31 million Kenyans onto the Social Health Authority (SHA).
The summit will also focus on Primary Healthcare, maternal and newborn health, and the role of Community Health Promoters in bringing services closer to households.
It will culminate in a Presidential Town Hall, giving Kenyans an opportunity to share their experiences, concerns and expectations on the country’s healthcare system.

PSK to host Pharmasphere 2026
The Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) will host Pharmasphere 2026, the second edition of the Pharma Procurement and Practice Summit.
The summit will bring together pharmaceutical professionals and other stakeholders to discuss issues around pharmaceutical procurement and practice.
Immigration PS to face Committee
The State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang will appear before the Regional Integration Committee.
The PS is expected to address the legal and administrative processes involved in the acquisition of a Kenyan identity card.
The session will take place at Continental House from 10 am.
Committee to meet JKUAT, KWS over employment diversity
The Cohesion and Equal Opportunities Committee will meet officials from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) as part of an inquiry into employment diversity and the 30 per cent reservation of public procurement opportunities for disadvantaged groups.
The meeting will be held at Bunge Towers from 10 am.
