Actor and media personality Melvin Alusa has sparked discussion online after revealing that he found himself raising seven children aged between one and 10 years.

Alusa shared details of his experience as a father while explaining how he navigated the responsibility of raising the children in an interview with Spm Buzz.

His revelation drew mixed reactions from social media users, with several focusing on the circumstances surrounding his role as a father of seven.

Beyond the online reactions, Alusa explained that raising the seven children was not a responsibility he handled alone. He credited a nanny who came into his life when the situation began and played a major role in helping him manage the household.

“God ni mfaithful, because at the time when this situation ilianza alinitukia a very nice nanny,” Alusa said. According to him, the nanny stayed with the family for two years and fully navigated the household during that period, helping him manage the demands that came with caring for seven children.

Alusa also acknowledged the support he received from relatives, stressing that raising children requires collective effort. “To raise a child, requires an entire village,” he said, adding that the nanny and his relatives were among the people who supported him throughout the experience.
