Newsrooms have been urged to treat the newly released election coverage guidelines as working documents rather than shelf items. Speaking in Nakuru, Communication CS William Kabogo noted that releasing the standards a year before the elections gives media houses ample time to train staff and review policies. Kabogo also reminded media practitioners intending to seek political office in 2027 to comply with clear disclosure and exit within outlined timelines.
