Vindee’s latest update highlights how livestreaming has evolved from casual online broadcasts into a professional digital industry that connects creators with audiences across the world in real time.

By streaming from Germany, the Kenyan creator joins a growing number of African digital personalities using international travel to expand their audiences, collaborate with creators from different countries and better understand how global content ecosystems operate.
His vision goes beyond personal growth. Vindee says the experience is intended to contribute towards the development of an East Africa Streamers University, an initiative he believes could equip upcoming creators with practical skills required in the livestreaming industry.
While details of the proposed platform have not yet been made public, the statement suggests a focus on knowledge-sharing and capacity building for aspiring streamers in the region.
Kenya’s creator economy continues to grow.
Livestreaming has become an increasingly important part of Kenya’s digital creator landscape. Platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and Kick have enabled creators to reach audiences far beyond their local communities through live broadcasts, gaming content, interviews, entertainment and lifestyle programming.
The wider creator economy has also seen significant growth in recent years as more young Kenyans turn to digital platforms for income through advertising revenue, brand partnerships, fan support and subscriptions.

According to industry estimates, millions of Kenyans actively use social media platforms each month, providing creators with access to large online audiences while opening opportunities for international collaborations.
Looking to the future
Vindee’smessage reflects a broader ambition shared by many African creators who want to position the continent as an active participant in the global digital content industry rather than simply a consumer of online entertainment.
