The KSh2 million wager between fashion designer Bolo Bespoke and content creator Oga Obinna has taken another twist ahead of the FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
Bolo, who is backing Spain to win the title, has issued a public statement addressing what he says could be attempts to dispute the terms of their bet if the match is not decided within the 90 minutes of regulation time.
The statement was shared on his Instagram page just days before the much-anticipated final, sparking excitement among football fans and social media users.

In his post,Boloclaimed he had received information suggesting there could be an attempt by Obinna to avoid honouring the KSh2 million wager if the match ends in a draw after normal time.
He maintained that the agreement between the two should remain in effect regardless of how the final is decided.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I wish to formally notify the public that credible intelligence at my disposal suggests there may be a calculated attempt by Mr Obinna to repudiate his KSh2 million obligation in the unfortunate event that the match concludes in a draw.”
Bolo went on to state that the bet extends beyond the initial 90 minutes of play.
According to him, if the final proceeds to extra time and is ultimately decided through a penalty shootout, the original agreement should still apply.
“To eliminate any possibility of ambiguity, misinterpretation, or procedural manipulation, I hereby categorically affirm that the wager remains valid irrespective of the outcome after regulation time.”
‘No technicalities’
The fashion designer also said there should be no changes to the agreement after the match has kicked off.
He insisted that no “retrospective amendments, technicalities, or creative reinterpretations” of the wager would be acceptable.
“Should the contest proceed to extra time and ultimately be decided by a penalty shootout, the terms of the bet shall remain fully enforceable and binding.”
He referred to the comedian and digital creator as “the YouTube gentleman” and said the aim was to maintain transparency and accountability over the wager.

The friendly bet has become part of the online conversation surrounding the World Cup final, with Bolo firmly supporting Spain while Obinna has publicly backed Argentina.
Although the two personalities have exchanged light-hearted remarks in the build-up to the match, Bolo’s latest statement makes it clear that, in his view, the KSh2 million bet should be honoured regardless of whether the winner is decided in normal time, extra time or through penalties.
