Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has opposed any move to postpone the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election, claiming the violence cited by the IEBC was orchestrated by the state. Speaking during campaigns, Gachagua said the reported incidents were minor and included the defacing of campaign posters. He maintained that the people of Ol Kalou remain peaceful and deserve to vote as scheduled.
