Word is that the officer has panicked after auditors came knocking asking about the cash trail. It is alleged the money in question had been left idle for years at a financial institution. Three major transactions on the said account triggered the barrage of questions. Corridors of Power is apprised that the officer is seemingly making frantic efforts to kill the probe, amid assertions that there was allegedly no proper authorisation trail for the amounts running into hundreds of millions of shillings.
