Kenyan media personality and entrepreneur Betty Kyallo has shared a heartfelt reflection on the growing relationship between her two daughters, Ivanna and Nova.
In a series of social media updates, the mother of two revealed that her children share an 11-year age difference—a dynamic she says mirrors her own upbringing.
The former news anchor took to Instagram to post candid photos of her eldest daughter, Ivanna, doting on the newborn, Nova. She expressed deep optimism that the significant age gap would foster a protective and beautiful lifelong friendship between the siblings.
A Mirror of the Kyallo Sisters
Betty pointed out a striking parallel between her children and her own relationship with her younger sister, Gloria Kyallo. Betty and Gloria are 13 years apart, yet they have maintained a famously close bond that has been documented across various media platforms.

Ivanna and Nova are 11 years apart. I’m sure they’ll love each other so much,” she captioned one of her daughters’ photo.
Gloria recently shared her own perspective on the age gap, noting that having an older sister who doubles up as a parental figure has been a highlight of her life. Betty believes history is repeating itself with her own daughters.
"Their age difference is almost the same as mine and Gloria Kyallo. So I know they will have a very beautiful relationship just like Lolo and I,” she posted.
According to Gloria Kyallo’s recent posts, this "sister-parent" relationship is something she "highly recommends" for the emotional security it provides.
Embracing a New Chapter
The revelation comes as Betty embraces her new role as a "Mother of Two." In her characteristic candid style, she admitted to having initial doubts about whether she would ever return to the world of diapers and late-night feedings.
She noted that her lifestyle has undergone significant changes to accommodate the new addition to the family. She even joked about her transition from "the streets"—a popular Kenyan slang term for a highly active social life—to full-time motherhood again.
"Aki God knows the perfect design. I always wondered whether I was ever going to be a new mum all over again. I knew my lifestyle had to change... but God knows how it will happen plus with who."

The Kyallo Family
The Kyallo sisters have long been a subject of public fascination in Kenya. Their family dynamic was explored in detail during their reality television show, Kyallo Kulture, which showcased the supportive yet distinct personalities of Betty, Mercy, and Gloria.
Ivanna, Betty's firstborn, was born in 2014. The arrival of Nova in early 2026 marks a decade-long wait for a sibling.
Betty ended her reflection by crediting her faith for the timing of her second pregnancy. "God ni Msooooooooo!!!!" she wrote, expressing gratitude for what she describes as a "perfect design" for her family’s future.
