The East African celebrity boxing scene is set for a massive revival as promoter and entertainer Oga Obinna officially announces the return of his hit series, Vurugu 2.0.
Taking place at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, the event promises a high-octane blend of professional combat and top-tier musical entertainment.
Headlining the fight card is a cross-border showdown between Kenyan dancehall star Arrow Bwoy and Ugandan boxer Shakib Cham Lutaaya. The match has already generated significant buzz online, particularly due to Shakib’s high-profile marriage to celebrated socialite Zari Hassan.
A Clash of East African Giants
The upcoming "Ultimate Arena" match-up marks a significant step up in rivalry for the Vurugu franchise. While Arrow Bwoy is primarily known for his musical hits, he will be stepping into the ring against a seasoned opponent in Shakib.
Joining them on the card are two other formidable bodybuilders, Phil and Gachau, further cementing the event's reputation for serious athletic competition alongside its celebrity appeal.
