Mama Annah Nyatoro Wairimu, EALA MP Kanini Kega's mother/X
Democracy for Citizens Party leader Rigathi Gachagua has expressed sorrow following the death of Mama Annah Nyatoro Wairimu, the mother of East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament Kanini Kega.
In a condolence message, Gachagua said: “It is with profound sadness I have learnt the passing on of Mama Annah Nyatoro Wairimu, mother of EALA MP Hon. @kaninikega1, early today.”
He added: “It is only yesterday that I gave you an assignment to the United Kingdom as my younger brother only for you to arrive and receive the sad news. Please receive my heartfelt and sincere condolences at this difficult moment. To the larger family of Simon Ndung'u Mutitu, your friends and relatives, I pray for you during this difficult moment.”
He described the late Annah Nyatoro Ndung'u as a family matriarch who worked hard to educate her children, noting her kindness is the talk of her village.
My condolences also go to members of the Women’s Guild of PCEA Mwiyogo parish, where she served as a dedicated member and took an active role in the development of the parish.
As the family prepares to give her a befitting send-off, he said his family will continue to pray for them. He noted that the loss of a mother is painful and prayed for strength for the bereaved family.
He concluded with a message of peace, saying: “May the soul of Mama Annah rest in eternal peace and perpetual light shine upon her forever.”
East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament Kanini Kega posted: “I am devastated and heartbroken! It's well with my soul, however, it is difficult to believe that my mother has rested. It's painful.”
